Yea the moon lit the Pacific Under Caribbean stars Under Caribbean skies Under Caribbean stars
The moon lit the pacific Under Caribbean stars They locked on one another And they barely had a draw See she comes from Venus And he comes from afar
He robbed a shop punched a cop And he ran off in a car
Many can’t defend it
But it wasn’t built that way
So light a spliff and keep it lit
And sit and witness judgement day
The thief of Monte Carlo
Isn’t really who you blast
So sit up close and get a pulse We can both learn from the past
Yeah the moonlit the pacific Under Caribbean stars Under Caribbean skies Under Caribbean stars
He made his grand appearance
In this wedding colored mask
And he made it to the stage somehow Someone got him a pass
If I was in the building
When the band of villains froze
But I was at the window
Once was opened now was closed And damned if they just thought They fit could go and break the mold Cause Wonder Woman’s bracelets Got them losing their control
You could really love her
Or just want her for a rest
They say that man he knew the truth So true they want him dead

This is undoubtedly my single favorite album of all time. It feels like such a perfect culmination of all the themes and ideas Fleet Foxes has been working with since 2008. It answers many of the questions found on both Helplessness Blues and Crack-Up, and represents an incredible maturation and growth in Robin Pecknold's perspective. Their other albums are certainly masterpieces, but this, in my opinion, is their magnum opus. I doubt it will be recognized as such in its time. isaiah_stuart
